Who takes comfort in Bush stating that the country is not headed into a recession?

What would you prefer? His using the scare tactics of the mainstream media? He's not stating this off the top of his head, you know. He has an army of economic advisers who, no doubt, give him the facts. We have not had 2 quarters of negative growth, therefore we're not currently in a recession. Things have slowed down, yes, but that is in reaction to the rapid growth of the immediate past. Yes, we have problems, but if we all keep wishing for a recession, we'll make it happen.
